Spotify has finally released the lightweight version of its app. Now streamers can forget about hitting the limits. It weighs 10 MB only, compatible with older mobile devices, and is available in 36 counties. This way, users outside the USA will be able to enjoy their favorite music as well.

To download Spotify Lite app on your phone, you need to have a Premium or a free account on this music streaming service. If you still don’t have it, you will have to create it. The procedure of registration is quick. Spotify requires at least 4.3 Android version or higher. Once you hit the data limit in the app, you will receive the notification on the phone. According to the senior manager in Spotify, Kalle Persson, the new lightweight app was made for users across the world. The app allows listening to music and joining the international community. It was mentioned in the release that some areas have limited bandwidth, and not enough storage on the phone to keep the music player.

According to Spotify’s latest statement, in March they passed a 100 million users threshold. It is a great deal for music streaming service. In comparison, Apple Music has only 60 million.
