Cloud9 continues to broaden its reach in the competitive gaming sector, recently announcing its latest venture into the Dota 2 arena. Following their recent onboarding of a Call of Duty League team, the organization is reinforcing its commitment to Dota 2 by acquiring a new roster in anticipation of The International 2024.

The acquisition marks the organizations' extended collaboration with BC.Game, resulting in the entity formerly known as Entity’s Dota 2 team now operating under the name Cloud9 BC.Game Dota 2. The recently revamped team lineup is set to premiere at The International 2024 in the near future.

Jack Etienne, CEO of C9, expressed the significance of this acquisition, highlighting that Dota 2 has a unique significance in the organization’s journey, being one of the initial games that Cloud9 entered. He acknowledged the invaluable support from BC.Game in backing the teams and creating interactive fan experiences. This collaboration not only pays tribute to Cloud9's heritage but also lays the groundwork for thrilling advancements ahead.

This marks the second significant collaboration between Cloud9 and BC.Game, with the latter having been secured as Cloud9's official gaming and sports betting partner back in 2022.
